  • Vintage Fruit / Dessert Bowl, Pink & Blue Flowers, American Pottery, Old Ivory, Onondaga Pottery Company, OPCO Syracuse China, Romantic Pattern Tableware, Wall Plate, (Discontinued)
  • Vintage: 1949 - 1960's
  • Made in Syracuse, NY, USA
  • Details: This vintage Fruit and/or Dessert Bowl is in the wonderful pattern from Syracuse China called Arcadia.  It features garlands of pink and blue flowers all along  with border, gathered with blue bows at intervals.  Although the Old Ivory  on this line was introduced in 1926, the Arcadias pattern was not introduced until 1949, based on this and the backstamp style, we were able to date it to between 1949 and 1960.  This little dish can serve nuts, dried fruits or candy, also as an oil dipping bowl, or jewelry catch-all.  These smaller plates look very pretty on the wall as part of a vignette in a romantic bedroom or powder room.
  • Dimensions:  5.25 inches in Diameter, approx. 1 inch Tall
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition.  There is light wear on the gold withing the verge and rim.  No chips or crazing.  All acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear  and imperfections.

Originally founded in 1871 as the Onondaga Pottery Company (OPCO), manufacturing earthenware.  James Pass joined the organization in 1885 and developed a new type of translucent china that became known as “Syracuse China.”  In 1893, a new backstamp for the new china was used for the World Exhibition in Chicago, IL, marked "Syracuse China".  In 1926 the company introduced the Old Ivory line, it became their most used line.  It wasn't until January 21st, 1966, that Onondaga Pottery Company officially changed its name to the "Syracuse China Corporation". The company was acquired by Libbey Inc. in 1995 and they continued to use the Syracuse China name and wares until 2009.
